Join us on Wednesday, February 5 from 10:30 AM to noon for Senior Hours at LCA. This dedicated time is for senior citizens to browse LCA galleries without large crowds or other tour groups. Seniors are welcome to look at art in LCA’s galleries and socialize with others their age. LCA staff will be on hand to answer any questions. The Gallery Shop will also be open for our visitors to shop handmade items crafted by local artisans. Admission to LCA is always free, including during Senior Hours, and no appointment or reservation is required.

Join us on Thursday, February 27, from 6-7:30 PM at LCA for our monthly Teen Arts Council (TAC) meet! Lead artist Teneia Dilosa will guide teens through a hands-on process of painting abstract artwork. All materials will be provided.

Poetry Slam
First Friday
Readings begin at 5:30 PM (Central) with audience members as judges for this raucous and friendly showcase. Admission is free, and all are welcome to cheer on the performers, explore LCA’s art exhibits and enjoy the cash bar and complimentary light refreshments.
Marc Kelly Smith, the founder of the Poetry Slam movement, is back to host our Poetry Slam! The night will begin with an open mic, inviting performers of all walks to share their original poetry or perform favorite poems by other authors. Next, audience members will have the chance to become a poet themselves with a fill-in-the-blank poem, themed for the occasion. The slam will conclude with the Dumb Rhyming Word Game, made famous at the Green Mill, the winner of which will be crowned as this year's LCA Poetry Slam Champion.

Join us on Friday, April 4 from 5-8 PM (Central), for the opening reception of the new exhibition Ordinary Wonders! Enjoy an evening out featuring spectacular art, hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar and chance to meet the artists featured in the exhibition. The artists in "Ordinary Wonders" utilize the photographic medium in very different ways to illuminate the extraordinary brilliance within the everyday. Their exquisitely staged pictures made in and around domestic spaces with family, friends and objects elevate the mundane and develop quiet yet radical gestures of expansion and liberation. Gallery Talk with Exhibiting Artists & Curator
Join LCA’s engaging and knowledgeable curator, Whitney Bradshaw, along side exhibiting artists Jessica Labatte and Cecil McDonald, Jr. as they take you through all of the amazing art pieces of the “Ordinary Wonders” exhibition! Learn about the artists, their artwork, inspiration and process. You can even ask questions and join in on the lively discussion. An ASL interpreter will also be present.

2025 ArtBash: Over the Rainbow

Join us this summer for our 43rd Lubeznik Arts Festival (LAF)! LAF is one of the highlights of summer in Northwest Indiana! Taking place on LCA’s grounds, just steps away from Lake Michigan, LAF connects festival-goers to our dynamic programming and exhibitions. During this year’s festival, we’ll have 80+ artists, food vendors, indoor exhibitions, family activities and live demos. LCA's summer blockbuster exhibition, Women to the Front, will also be on display inside LCA.
In our NIPSCO Educational Studios, local artists from around the region exhibit their artwork throughout the year. Each month, you can find different artists' work displayed in the studios. Click the button below to view the upcoming schedule!
Our free First Friday cultural programs take place on the first Friday of each month from 5-8 PM. The annual schedule includes everything from exhibition openings to live music to youth dance performances. All events feature free admission, free food and a cash bar. A typical First Friday sees between 150 and 400 visitors of all ages.
ArtBash Gala
Every June, join us at Blue Chip Casino Hotel Spa for our annual ArtBash Gala and help support our mission of integrating art, education and community to provide access to compelling exhibitions and programs that explore contemporary ideas. Your support ensures everyone has access to the arts. The night includes an open bar, dinner, a silent auction, dancing and fun!
This popular festival held by Lubeznik Center for the Arts is one of the highlights of summer in Northwest Indiana. It takes place on LCA’s grounds to connect festival-goers to the our dynamic programming and exhibitions. Spend two fun-filled days in the summer with 70+ art vendors, a live mural invitational, indoor exhibitions, family activities, demos, local food vendors and beer and wine!
During the winter, hundreds of our Gallery Shop items spill into the lobby for our Holiday Artisan Market. Lubeznik Center for the Arts annual Holiday Artisan Market, held from late November to early January, is the place to find unique gifts crafted by local artisans including jewelry, ceramics and wearable art. Come celebrate the winter season and support local artists!
