Young Artist Expo - Friday, June 5, 5-8 PM (CT)

Lubeznik Center for the Arts (LCA) and the Lindsey O’Brien Kesling (LOK) Wishing Tree Foundation proudly present the annual LOK Young Artist Expo (YAE).

This exhibition is a showcase of young artists ages 7 through 17 in all media. The LOK YAE represents artists from LCA’s partnerships with numerous community and regional school partners. The artwork, chosen through individual portfolio review, is an impressive display of the extraordinarily talented youth from across the region. The LOK YAE will be on view in LCA’s NIPSCO Art Education Studios from June 5 through July 10.

The evening’s free, family-friendly program will begin at 6 PM with emcee Timmy Barron, Second City of Chicago graduate and actor. This year’s agenda includes performances by South Shore Dance Alliance, a longtime partner of the LOK Wishing Tree Foundation. Attendees can browse the exhibition of student artwork, and light refreshments and a cash bar will be available throughout the event.

The LOK YAE is made possible by an ongoing collaboration between LCA and the LOK Wishing Tree Foundation. The LOK Wishing Tree Foundation has a dual mission: carbon monoxide education and supporting young people in achieving their highest potential, unleashing their talents and acting upon their dreams through a wide variety of creative and performing arts opportunities, and LCA works to ensure everyone in our community, including young people, receives equal access to outstanding cultural experiences.
