Kids Art Camp
Lubeznik Center for the Arts' summer art camp will be going ArtGanic this year. Instructor Alison Jaksa will take children ages 7-13 on an eco-friendly expedition of the arts. Campers will utilize sustainable practices and principles in a wide range of projects including: weaving with branches, kite building and making natural paints. Tuition is $90 for LCA members, $100 for guests and includes all materials. A single class "drop in" rate of $14 per class is available.
WEEK ONE PROJECTS
Days 1 & 2: Rain Chain
Day 3: Painting the Flora and Fauna of the Dunes with homemade, natural paints
Day 4: Create a Fish Kite
Day 5: “Dumpster Diving” Sculpture
WEEK TWO PROJECTS
Days 1 & 2: Build a Boat
Day 3: Natural Cloth Drawing
Day 4: Branch Weaving
Day 5: Printmaking
Projects are subject to change. Please call the day before if you want to confirm the art project that is scheduled. As with many art experiences, artists will become VERY involved in their work… So, old clothes or an old shirt is HIGHLY recommended. Capacity is limited.
