Beginning Adult
Acting/Improvisation
This
is an 8 week program that ends in an optional class
demonstration for those students who attend both
sessions. Students have the option to attend either
or both sessions. Ages: 18+ Time: 6:30-8:30 pm Dates: Sundays,

Session I:
Beginning Acting
Students will
develop acting skills by learning how to observe of
their own personalities and emotional levels through
fun acting exercises. They will be given the tools
and encouragement to understand how different humans
react in various situations. They will then begin
their journey to understanding how to apply this
knowledge to character situations in the context of
monologues and plays. Dates: Sundays,
9/28 to 10/19 (4 weeks)
Session II:
Beginning Improvisation
Whether you're the
joker on the sales floor or the wallflower at the
party, the fundamentals of improvisation will improve
your communication skills, help you rediscover your
creativity and imagination, stimulate collaboration
with others, and develop the ability to quickly
consider the right thing to say in any
situation. Students will play improvisational games
from a world class instructor to develop an
understanding of the techniques necessary to learn
to work together to develop complete scenes and will
also learn some fun performance games such as the ones
you may see on TV improv shows. Dates: Sundays,
10/26 to 11/16 (4 weeks)
Intermediate Adult
Acting/Improvisation
An eight-week
program focused to help adults with some dramatics
experience to develop acting and improvisation skills.
Students have the option to attend either, or both.
Those who also participated in both sessions may
participate in a culminating performance in December. Ages: 18+ Time: 6:30-8:30 Dates: Mondays,
9/29 to 11/27 (both sessions) Instructor: Payton

Session I:
Intermediate Adult Acting
This is a more
intense class than beginning acting where exercises
will challenge the actors to develop instinct and work
through the fear of performing "on the spot" for
directors and casting agents. Students who continue on
to “Intermediate Improvosation” will be able to
participate in a culminating performance at the end of
November. Dates: Mondays,
9/29 to 10/20 (4 weeks)
Session II:
Intermediate Adult Improvisation
This class is an
extention to ANY previous class a student has taken
with Peyton. The main focus of this class will be two
to three person scene development with additional time
spent on performance games. Those who also
participated in “Intermediate Acting” may participate
in a culminating performance at the end of the
session. Dates: Mondays,
10/27 to 11/17 (4 weeks)
The Acting Audition
An intensive two
evening per week session for beginners and advanced
adult actors who wish to develop or brush up on
audition techniques. The tools we explore can be
applied from community plays to professional agents or
even casting director auditions. It is divided into
two parts & students have the option to attend either
class or both. Classes will meet on Sunday & Monday
for 4 weeks. Ages 18+ Time: 6:30-8:30pm Dates: Sundays &
Mondays, 11/23 to 12/15 (both sessions) Cost: $32 per

Acting Audition
Monlogue
Develop and refine
stage acting skills as they work with pre-selected
monologues from contemporary playwrights. Memorization
will not be necessary, as we will be using the scripts
to learn about the art of acting and stagecraft.
Students are welcome and encouraged to select and
bring along monologues of their choice to work on
during class.
Students will discover the skills required to engage
an audience as a solo performer. Attention will be
given to delivery, projection, movement, etc.
Dates: Sundays,
11/23 to 12/14 (4 weeks)
Acting Scene Study
Adults will develop
and refine stage acting skills as they work with
pre-selected scenes from contemporary playwrights.
Memorization will not be necessary, as we will be
using the scripts to learn about the art of acting and
stagecraft. Students are welcome and encouraged to
select and bring along scenes of their choice to work
on during class.
Instruction will be
given so that the actors understand the cooperation
needed to energize a scene with cues, eye contact,
body language, and the ever necessary improve
background.
Dates: Mondays,
11/24 to 12/15 (4 weeks)
Design in Fine Art
Painting
Artists and
students of all levels, working in any color media,
can learn how to apply design in their artwork. Focus
on using a comprehensive approach to the eight
elements and seven principles of design to create
dynamic works of art. This class, designed for adults,
will not focus on techniques or materials. Limit 10
students. Age(s): 18+ Time: 7:00 - 9:00pm

Hatha Yoga
Round out your week
with hatha yoga. Students with prior yoga experience
will practice methods to promote a calm state of mind
and body. Reduce tension and improve strength,
flexibility and respiration with yoga practices
focused on alignment and injury prevention. Focus on
yoga positions and breath awareness with a basic
introduction to yoga theory. Students should provide a
firm blanket and any props they might have. Depending
on class size mats, blocks and straps may be
available. Wear comfortable clothing that allows full
range of motion. Pricing structure includes a
"punch-card" system accommodate most schedules. Save
