Biography:

Gwynne Winsberg, a former Chicagoan, moved to Rolling Prairie in 2001 after many years in academia, government and consulting. She studied briefly at the Institute of Design before receiving a PhD in neurosciences from the University of Chicago. She also studied photography with Richard Stromberg at Hull House and Joan Gieseke at the Smithsonian Institute. Gwynne has exhibited her photography in Washington, DC; Michigan, Illinois and Indiana. While her early interest was in black and white film photography, she currently welcomes the freedom from the darkroom afforded by digital photography and the computer and concentrates on abstracting color and line from an underlying digital photographic image.
