Biography: Robert Stanley has been exhibiting art in the Chicago area since 1973. He has also been juried into national and international shows, and is listed in Who’s Who in America. His works evoke our fragmented world, the placement of objects suggesting serenity and mystery within the chaos of life. He did not do anything artistic until he became a monk. After teaching for several years in Cincinnati, Ohio, he left the monastery, received a Masters at Pratt Institute, taught and exhibited in Harrisburg, Pa, then the Chicago area. His works are in the collections of The Embassy of France, Washington, D.C., InFocus Systems, Lubeznik Art Center, IN, Museum of Modern Art, Chamalières, France, NiSource, Oakton College, The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Telecomgroup, The Unity Foundation of LaPorte County, and The World Print Council, as well as numerous personal collections.Click on any thumbnail image below to see a larger image.
